2-3 cans of tomato sauce. Enough to cover the pot roast.
Add ins:
Lipton onion soup mix or
jar of salsa to spice it up a bit | | Directions | | Step: 1 | Get out your trusty crockpot and let it do your cooking! First, take your cut of beef and slice it horizontally almost like butterflying the cut, but go the whole way through. Put some salt on the bottom of the crockpot (if sodium is an issue, skip this part). Put the meat in the pot as if you had never cut it. Add enough tomato sauce to cover the entire piece of meat. For more flavor, add lipton onion soup mix or a jar of salsa. Let it simmer all day and you're set for a tasty and delicious pot roast for dinner! |
