Almond Milk | Status: Approved | | Name | Almond Milk | | Source | Anonymous | | Difficulty | Easy | | Ingredients | | 1 cup blanched almond pieces
4 to 5 cups water | | Directions | | Step: 1 | Place almonds and about 1 and 1/2 cup water in blender. Blend on medium for 15 seconds, strain into container. Put pulp back into blender with another 1 and 1/2 cup water, blend again. Continue until you get about one quart of almond milk. My uses: ice cream, protein shakes, freeze in ice cube trays and add to protein shakes to thicken, wonderful pudding,or just drink it. Hot Chocolate this winter! Note: at this concentration it will seperate in refrigerator, just stir it up. Sometimes I thin it more, it's up to you. When I have time I will try using the pulp as flour. I've tried drying it, it's kinda a pain, I think next time I will just freeze it.
